Import Chinese ethylene PVC inched lower in Malaysia

Malaysian buyers reported to have received offers for Chinese ethylene based PVC with $10-20/ton reduction compared to last week, reaching $820/ton CIF Malaysia, LC AS term. This comes despite market rumor that major Taiwanese producer might announce July shipment offers with increases. Malaysian buyers are slowing down purchasing activities ahead of the Ramadan holidays.

A profile maker commented, “There are so much of confusion at the moment. We are still having some inventories on hand, hence we prefer to wait and see until market direction becomes clearer.”
