Thailand's HMC to shut PP plants for turnaround

According to market sources, HMC Polymers Co Ltd is planning to shut its PP plants for a scheduled maintenance by mid of July 2017.

Based in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the company has a 150,000 ton/year No. 1 PP unit, 300,000 ton/year No. 2 PP unit and a 300,000 ton/year No. 3 PP unit. Each line is expected to take turn for maintenance and remain off-stream for 10 days, causing the overall shutdown period to last until mid of August 2017.
