Indonesia's Asahimas restarted VCM line

According to market sources, Asahimas Chemical has restarted the no. 3 VCM line last weekend after completing a month long maintenance work, slightly delay from initial schedule due to technical issues.

Based in Cilegon, Banten province of Indonesia, the no. 3 - 400,000 tons/year unit is currently operating at about 70% capacity. Meanwhile, the company is also planning maintenance work at its no.1 - 150,000 tons/year VCM unit in July. As reported earlier, the overhaul at no. 1 unit is postponed from mid- February due to delay in the delivery of parts.
