Qatar's Muntajat rerouting shipment, assure delivery: Announcement

After Saudi Arabia and three other GCC allies decided to cut all diplomatic and economic ties with in an accusation for supporting terrorism; Asian buyers developed strong concern that petrochemical shipment out of Qatar might be affected.

On 7 June 2017, in an official statement from Muntajat to its customers that CommoPlast obtained, the company assured buyers that it is “committed to continue business as usual and honouring contractual commitment.” Muntajat has engaged more than 18 shipping lines and rerouted shipment to ensure regular allocation to the market. However, seeking alternative shipping lane will result in longer transit time, the company said. Besides, the issues do not affect the company’s production.
