Thai major cuts PP, PE prices to Indonesia

A major Thailand producer reportedly announced fresh weekly PP and HDPE prices to Indonesia with reduction on the back of persistent weak demand and continuous falling local offers in this market.

The maker’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

Buyers in the country are not showing very strong interest and expressed buy ideas for homo-PP yarn and injection in the range $1070-1080/ton CIF Indonesia, LC AS term. “This is because local suppliers are still cutting prices this week and we can obtain even more competitive cargoes in the domestic distribution market. Meanwhile Korean PP block copolymers are very attractive at the moment.”
