Major Thai maker continue to step back on PE offers in China

Market players in China reportedly received new offers from major Thailand maker today for mid to end of June shipment with a decrease of $5/ton for HDPE film and LLDPE film to reach $1130/ton and $1180/ton respectively, $10/ton for HDPE yarn at $1145/ton, $20/ton for LDPE film and heavy duty at $1200/ton and $1220/ton respectively, and stable offers for metallocene LLDPE at $1310/ton, compared to last week, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader informed, “Market sentiment is still not improving even after back from Labor Day holiday, hence our supplier continue to reduce offers this week. We are still lack of confidence for the outlook this month as we received slow feedback from our customers recently.”
