UPDATE: Indonesia's Lotte Chemical Titan to focus on LLDPE production

It is reported that Indonesia’s Lotte Chemical Titan has reached full operation rate at its trouble LLDPE line and achieved on-spec output. The line is designed to produce 200,000 tons/year of LLDPE.
Source close to the company also informed that Lotte in planning to temporary switch one of its HDPE lines at the same site to run LLDPE. The source added, “Supply for LLDPE in domestic market is rather tight at the moment given simultaneous production issues at major local plants. We plan to use two PE lines to temporarily produce LLDPE to clear backlogs and meet immediate demand.”
This action would result in reduced HDPE supply in local ground in the short term, however, it remain unclear which HDPE line would be used for the production of LLDPE. The company own two HDPE line in Indonesia with combined capacity of 250,000 tons/year. One line mainly produce HDPE film, yarn and blow moulding while the other produce HDPE injection solely.
