Indian maker cuts local PVC offers again

After most international suppliers conceded to large price cut, a major Indian producer has also matched the trend by offering additional INR3000/ton ($45/ton) reduction on local PVC cargoes, bringing latest offers to approximate $920-930/ton excluding VAT, EWX India term. This is the second adjustment this month, totalling some INR6000/ton ($93/ton) drop in value from March.

Buyers in the country started to show better buying interest this month though many converters claim no significant pick up in end product demand, yet inventories are running low. “We have not made large purchases over the past couple of months due to high prices. Therefore, we will have to replenish material this time.”
