Major Thai maker hold stable to soft trend for PE in China

Market players reported that a major producer from Thailand has announced fresh offers today for end of May to beginning of June shipment with a reduction of $5/ton for HDPE film to reach $1165/ton,  $10/ton reduction for LLDPE to reach $1210/ton, meanwhile maintaining stable offers for the other grades whereby HDPE yarn at $1180/ton, LDPE film at $1265/ton, LDPE heavy duty at $1290/ton and metallocene LLDPE at $1330/ton, as compared to last week, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader commented, “The offer level has ben adjusted within the ranges recently but overall the sentiment for today are still weak and our customers are not interested to place any orders, as most of the manufacturers are facing tight cash flow situation recently. We remain pessimistic for the near term outlook.”
