Major Thai producer announced new PE offers to China

Market players reported that a major maker from Thailand has announced new offers today for end of May to beginning of June shipment with an increased of $5/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1170/ton and $1180/ton respectively, $5/ton increased for LLDPE to reach $1220/ton, $20/ton reduction for metallocene LLDPE to reach $1330/ton, $15/ton reduction for LDPE film to reach $1265/ton, and $75/ton increased for LDPE heavy duty to reach $1290/ton, as compared to end of last month, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader commented, “Our supplier managed to conclude better number of deals previously especially for HDPE and with the recent firmer energy and upstream costs, some offers are being adjusted to be slightly firmer. However, market sentiment in China for these two days were weaker, hence we are still waiting for further feedback from our customers.”
