Chinese carbide based PVC concluded at additional discount in Malaysia

As PVC demand across Asia remain below expectation, Malaysian buyers reported that Chinese suppliers have conceded to additional discount in order to conclude deals. In fact, couple of carbide based PVC deals were reported at $825/ton CIF, Malaysia, LC AS term, some $20/ton reduction from earlier this week.

A converter purchased the cargoes informed, “We concern that the weakening trend might persist in the coming weeks, therefore we only procured a small quantity this time. Meanwhile, we are monitoring the development in India market to gauge the likely market direction in the near term.”
