Major Thailand maker lifted PE offers in China

Market players reported that a major producer from Thailand has announced new offers today for mid of April shipment with an increased of $10/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1165/ton and $1175/ton respectively, $30/ton hike for LDPE film to reach $1290/ton, $35/ton reduction for metallocene LLDPE to reach $1350/ton meanwhile maintaining stable offers for LLDPE at $1215/ton as compared to last week, all on a CFR China, LC at sight basis. Meanwhile, the producer also offered LDPE heavy duty at $1215/ton for the similar term.

A trader commented, “Market sentiment in China these two days are much weaker than last week with continuous softer domestic market trend. Hence, we are not confidence if buyers are willing to accept the price hike this time.”
