Thailand maker cut homo-PP prices to Indonesia, maintaining HDPE offers

According to market sources, a major Thailand producer has announced fresh weekly offers to Indonesia with $10/ton reduction on homo-PP yarn, injection and film from last week while maintaining HDPE prices unchanged. The latest price list is shown in the following table:

Buyers in Indonesia, however, show little interest in the latest offers claiming softening trend across region and also more attractive offers from local suppliers. In fact, domestic sellers have also slashed their homo-PP prices by $20/ton on the first trading day of the week, bringing latest prices to $1220-1290/ton FD Indonesia, cash term. The lower end of the overall price range in local ground is putting tremendous pressure on import cargoes.
