India's Mitsubishi shuts PTA unit for maintenance

According to market sources, India’s Materials Chemicals and Performance Intermediaries (formerly known as Mitsubishi Chemical PTA India) has shut its No. 2 PTA unit since 15 March 2017 for a scheduled turnaround.

Based in Haldia, West Bengal, India, the No. 2 PTA plant has a production capacity of 800,000 tons/year. It is expected to remain off-stream for 3-4 weeks.
