Taiwanese producer offered discounts on ABS cargoes to Vietnam

According to market sources, a Taiwanese producer has stepped back on their ABS offers to Vietnam by $20/ton from the earlier week, to reach $1970/ton CIF Vietnam, LC AS term. Players attributed the reduction to the recent nosedive in the upstream costs.

A distributor offered on behalf of the producer commented, “With the current styrene monomer and butadiene costs, ABS offers might continue to slide in the near term. At the moment, we only sell small quantity to manufacturer customers.”
