Major Thai cut PE offers in China

A major producer from Thailand has announced new offers today with further reduction of $15/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1165/ton and $1175/ton respectively, $10/ton decrease for metallocene LLDPE at $1385/ton, $20/ton decrease for LDPE film at $1280/ton, meanwhile maintaining stable offers for LLDPE rotational molding at $1280-1310/ton, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term, for shipment by mid of April.

A trader commented, “Sentiment in China continue to remain weak, pressuring our supplier to cut their offers further. We are not confidence on our sales for this week, as domestic cargoes are still much competitive over the imported offer level, meanwhile demand is still not showing any sign of improvements.”
