Thai major announced HDPE offers to Vietnam

A major Thailand producer has announced fresh HDPE prices to Vietnam today with increases compared to the last concluded levels. The maker lifted HDPE film prices by $20/ton to reach $1210/ton CIF Vietnam, LC AS term; meanwhile, HDPE yarn stands at $1230/ton and HDPE blow molding at $1220/ton with the same term.

Source close to the company commented, “We started to have better allocation this week and open to negotiation with buyers. Demand in Vietnam is not very strong as customers prefer to take cautious stance after energy and upstream costs turn soft. We are monitoring market respond before making decision.”
