Major Thai cuts PE offers in China

A major maker from Thailand has announced new offers today with a decreased of $20/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1180/ton and $1190/ton respectively, $5/ton reduction for metallocene LLDPE at $1395/ton as compared to last two weeks, meanwhile offers for LLDPE rotational molding at $1280-1310/ton and LDPE film at $1300/ton, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term, for shipment by mid of April.

A trader commented, “Sentiment in China market is still weak as we are basically facing difficulties to conclude deals for import market. Inventory level in domestic China is still high, pressuring the overall local cargoes causing import prices to be more expensive. We are not having much confidence on the outlook for overall March.”
