It is reported that Indonesia’s PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical has shut its HDPE line last week for two weeks maintenance work. Source close to the company informed that the line would resume operation by mid of the month and as a result of the shutdown, the company is now having spot ethylene cargoes.

Based in the city of Cilegon, Indonesia, the stand-alone HDPE line is designed to produce 136,000 tons/year. Meanwhile, the LLDPE/HDPE blow molding swing plant with annual capacity of 200,000 ton/year is till operating at normal rate.
