PetroVietnam mulls over maintenance shutdown at PP complex

According to market sources, PetroVietnam is in mid of a maintenance shutdown planning, which is expected to take place during June to July this year. It is still unclear on the exact schedule date as the shutdown depends on the upstream refinery unit.

A source close to the company said, “To reduce the impact on the general supply, the initial plan call for 30 days shut down during June to July, in line with the Ramadan season in Indonesia. However, we would only received final confirmation by end of this month.”

Based in Southern Vietnam, PetroVietnam is able to produce 150,000 tons/year of homo-PP.
