Major Thai implemented price hike on PE to China

A major producer from Thailand has announced new offers today with some adjustments compared to last week, with increased of $15/t for HDPE film to reach $1200/ton, $20/ton increased for HDPE yarn to reach $1210/ton, $1350/ton for metallocene LLDPE as compared to pre-holiday, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term, meanwhile no offers for LDPE and LLDPE film this time due to insufficient supply.

A trader commented, “Our supplier informed that they don’t have allocation for LLDPE and LDPE supply at the moment due to upcoming scheduled turnaround as well as production switching to metallocene grade in coming month. Price trend has firmed up since returned from holidays and we are expecting for firmer outlook in the near term but lots of manufacturers are going to be back from holidays only by next week hence we are not so confidence about our sales these few days.”
