Domestic PP and PE offers move higher in Malaysia

A major producer from Malaysia has announced its offers for February 2017 delivery with an increased of MYR80-230/ton ($18-52/ton) for homo-PP, MYR100-140/ton ($23-32/ton) for copolymer-PP, MYR100/ton ($23/ton) for LDPE and MYR50-140/ton ($11-32/ton) for HDPE as compared to their latest offers end of last month. Players attributed the price hike towards limited supply due to upcoming scheduled turnaround, however, sentiment and purchasing activities are muted with the approaching Chinese New Year holidays.
