Major Thai hold firm stance on PE offers to China

A major producer from Thailand has announced new offers today with some adjustments compared to last week, with increased of $5/t for HDPE film to reach $1185/ton, $10/ton increased for LDPE and LLDPE film at $1370/ton and $1270/ton respectively, meanwhile maintaining stable offers for HDPE yarn and LDPE heavy duty at $1190/ton and $1390/ton respectively, metallocene LLDPE at $1350/ton, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term, for March shipment.

A trader commented, “Basically China market sentiment is weak and players are entering holidays gradually, meanwhile most of the buyers also off from the market, not planning to place any orders these few days. We believed that more movement will be observed only by after holidays.”
