Emergency shutdown at Japan's JX Nippon RFCC unit

According to market sources, JX Nippon Oil & Energy has unexpectedly shut its residue fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) since 19 January 2017 due to technical issue.
Based in Sendai, Japan, the unit is able to produce 100,000 tons/year of propylene. It is expected to remain off-stream for 3 weeks.
