Malaysia's Lotte Chemical Titan failed to restart HDPE line

It is reported that Lotte Chemical Titan has encountered an expected technical glitches last Thursday at one of its HDPE (PE3 Unipol) lines in at Tanjung Langsat, Malaysia. After several restart attempts throughout the week, the unit remains offline at the time this report is published. The plant is able to produce 115,000 tons/year of HDPE, mostly film grade.

A source from the producer informed, “Sales allocation for both local and export market has been affected negatively due to this production issue. We are working hard to bring the line back on-stream and hopefully the problems will be resolved this week.”
