Local LDPE film surged in Vietnam

Vietnamese players reported domestic LDPE film prices continue to gallop higher this week with the support from firm international market and limited supply in local ground. On an average, offers for regular origins jumped about VND600,000/ton ($27/ton) week on week basis with buying interest hold strong.

A trader offered locally held Thailand LDPE film at VND35,600,000/ton ($1430/ton without VAT) FD Vietnam, cash term said, “Malaysian origin offers are way higher than our cargoes. There are very limited materials available in local market at the moment and this condition might prolong in the coming month since cargoes arrival are not sufficient.”

Locally held LDPE film offers currently stand at VND35,600,000-37,800,000/ton ($1430-1520/ton without VAT) FD Vietnam, cash term.
