Emergency shutdown at Qatar's PE plants

According to market sources, Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) has experienced unexpected shutdown on its HDPE and LDPE plants recently due to technical glitches.

Based in Doha, Qatar, the company has a 500,000 tons/year of HDPE unit and 3 LDPE plants with a total production capacity over 700,000 tons/year. The restart schedule could not be ascertained.
