Local PP and PE offers journey north in Malaysia

A major producer from Malaysia has announced its offers for January 2017 delivery with an increased of MYR100-160/ton ($22-36/ton) for homo-PP, MYR140-200/ton ($31-45/ton) for copolymer-PP, MYR100/ton ($22/ton) for LDPE and MYR50/ton ($11/ton) for HDPE as compared to their latest offers on beginning of the month. Players attributed the price hike towards the continuous weaker currency as well as limited supply due to upcoming scheduled turnaround.
