China's Sailboat started up new MTO unit

According to market sources, Jiangsu Sailboat Petrochemical Co Ltd has successfully started up its methanol to olefin (MTO) unit since 27 December 2016, and managed to achieve on-spec ethylene and propylene.

Based in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, China, the company has a 900,000 tons/year MTO unit, and it is planning to startup up its 300,000 tons/year LDPE/EVA swing plant by beginning of 2017.
