Major Thai cuts PE offers to China

A major maker from Thailand has announced new offers today with some reductions as compared to end of last week, whereby a decreased of $5-10/ton HDPE film and yarn at $1170/ton and $1180/ton respectively, reduction of $20/ton for LLDPE film at $1250/ton, $10/ton for LDPE film at $1370/ton, stable offers for LDPE heavy duty at $1400/ton respectively, and HDPE bottle grade at $1230/ton, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term. The shipment for LLDPE and HDPE cargoes will be around beginning to mid of February.

A trader commented, ”Weak market sentiment pushing our supplier to cut their offers slightly today, and all the prices are open for negotiations. However, we are still waiting for further feedback from our customers, and hopefully we can sell some cargoes as the future market sentiment turned better in the afternoon.”
