China's Fund Energy started-up MTO unit

Market sources reported that Fude (Changzhou) Energy & Chemical Co Ltd (Fund Energy) has successfully started up its upstream MTO unit on 3:16pm, 25 December 2016.

Based in Changzhou, China, the company has a 1 million tons/year methanol plant, a 330,000 tons/year MTO unit and a 300,000 tons/year PP unit whereby the PP unit is expected to start up by January 2017. A source closed to the company informed that most probably on-spec propylene will be achieved around Wednesday this week.
