Saudi major adjust PP, PE prices to Vietnam for the third time

According to market sources, a Saudi producer has again adjusted their January delivery offers for PP and PE to Vietnam today, marking the third price adjustment this week from the maker.

In the latest price amendment, the maker slashed the offers significantly compared to yesterday, bringing the offers to even lower level than the first price opening two days ago. Final price list stand at $1170/ton for LLDPE film, $1150/ton for HDPE film, $1100/ton for HDPE blow molding and $1050/ton for homo-PP yarn and injection, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A distributor informed, “We have sold some LLDPE film and HDPE blow molding cargoes at the given price. Buyers are still bidding for HDPE film and homo-PP cargoes. However, our customers are not willing to accept prices above the $1040/ton for homo-PP. We would only get price confirmation by next week.”
