Qatar's Qapco to shut PE units in 2017 for maintenance

According to market sources, Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) is planning to shut its PE plants in March-April 2017 for a scheduled turnaround.

Based in Doha, Qatar, the company has a 500,000 tons/year of HDPE unit, a 500,000 tons/year of LLDPE unit, and 3 LDPE plants with a total production capacity of 650,000 tons/year. The units are expected to remain off-stream for 2 weeks.
