Another Saudi major opens January PP, PE offer to Vietnam

According to market sources, a major Saudi Arabia producer has announced January delivery offers for PP and PE to Vietnam today. The maker lifted prices for PP and LLDPE film by $10/ton from last month while maintaining HDPE offers unchanged.

Latest price list stand at $1140/ton for HDPE film, $1130/ton for HDPE blow moulding, $1190/ton for LLDPE film, $1040/ton for homo-PP and $1090/ton for PP block copolymers, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A buyer active in PP trading commented, “It is unusual to see import homo-PP below the $1050/ton threshold at the moment. We plan to bid for at least $20/ton lower than initial offers considering weaker demand in China market.”
