Saudi's PetroRabigh failed to restart PE plant

It is reported that Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) has failed to bring its PE plant online earlier this week after completed the unscheduled maintenance work. The company take all PE lines off-stream during late November for 20 days. The plant consists of 250,000 tons/year HDPE unit and a 650,000 tons/year LLDPE unit.

A source close to the company informed, “We would attempt to restart the lines again this weekend. This means, export allocation for January might be affected. Meanwhile, our cracker has already up running since last week.”
