Domestic LLDPE film softened in Vietnam

Vietnamese players toward the end of the week reported receiving softer LLDPE film offers from domestic traders by approximate VND600,000-/ton ($27/ton) compared to earlier this week on persistent weak demand and falling international prices.

A buyer received locally held Middle Eastern LLDPE film at VND29,500,000/ton ($1187/ton without VAT), FD Vietnam, cash term said, “Many other traders are attempting to hold their offers stable, however the pressure is high. Buying interest is generally weak and some converters are liquidating their excess inventories, depressing market even more.”

It is reported that local LLDPE film prices currently stand at VND29,500,000-30,300,000/ton ($1187-1220/ton) FD Vietnam, cash term.
