Fire at Reliance's FCC unit

Market sources reported that a flash fire has hit Reliance Industries Limited’s fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) on Thursday morning (24 November 2016).

Based in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, the refinery with crude processing capacity of 660,000 barrels/day, is currently under a scheduled turnaround in the domestic tariff area (DTA) refinery site. The fire was drenched immediately, caused 8 injuries to the workers, but operations were not affected.
