Slight discounts from Major Thai for HDPE in China

A major maker from Thailand have finally announced full price list offers for their PE to China market since past 1-2 days with offers for LDPE film and heavy duty at $1390/ton and $1420/ton, a $60-70/ton hike compared to last week, meanwhile the offers for HDPE film, yarn and LLDPE film offers, as mentioned earlier, at $1175/ton, $1180/ton and $1280/ton respectively, all on a CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader received the offers commented, “The shipment for HDPE and LLDPE are on beginning of December meanwhile LDPE is on mid of December due to limited supply after previous turnaround. Overall market responses are satisfactory except for HDPE film and yarn are still comparatively weaker as deals are being concluded only after $5/ton of discount from initial offers. We received lower bids from buyers but our suppliers insisted not to accept due to recent firm market sentiment.”
