Mexico's Braskem Idesa to resume PE productions from maintenance

According to market sources, Braskem Idesa Etilino XXI Project, a joint venture between Braskem S. A. (75%) and Grupo Idesa S. A. (25%) is planning to restart its PE units from scheduled turnaround by this week.

Based in Coatzacoalcos, Mexico, the complex is able to process 66,000 barrels/day of ethane, two HDPE units with a production capacity of 410,000 tons/year and 340,000 tons/year and a 300,000 tons/year of LDPE. The PE units have been shut for maintenance since 18 October 2016.
