The Shenhua auction platform continued to perform up to par as both homo-PP and LLDPE offers were kept stable from the previous session.

The Shenhua auction platform continued to perform up to par as both homo-PP and LLDPE offers were kept stable from the previous session. The deals for LLDPE were much better than homo-PP mainly because the LLDPE futures were comparatively better than homo-PP. Despite the healthy volume of deals, the high-end deal prices for homo-PP dropped CNY20/ton while LLDPE weakened significantly by CNY80/ton extending the current notion that customers remain apprehensive towards high price levels.

Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co is currently the largest coal-based polyolefins producer in China, operates under four subsidiaries, namely: Shenhua Xinjiang Coal-based New Materials Project, Shenhua Yulin Energy Co Ltd, Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Co Ltd and Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (Ningmei).
The company has an annual capacity of 2.65 million tons/year of PP, 750,000 tons/year of HDPE/LLDPE and 570,000 tons/year of LDPE.
