Thailand's IRPC shut PP unit for maintenance

According to market sources, Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Co (IRPC) has shut its polypropylene (PP) plant since early last week (22 August 2016) for a schedulend turnaround.

Based in Rayong, Thailand, the PP unit has a production capacity of 175,000 ton/year. The plant is expected to remain off-stream for about 15 days. Meanwhile, the other two PP units each with 150,000 ton/year production capacity are still operating as usual.
