Local PP market extended the weakening in Indonesia
Fresh price list from a key local producer in Indonesia showed another round of price reduction on most PP cargoes as trading sentiment continues to fall ahead of the long Ramadan holidays.

The declining demand overshadowed the currency depreciation. While suppliers are hoping for last minutes replenishment, buyers might only return after Ramadan since the current downtrend is expected to persist.
“The holiday mood is here. Plus, import offers for non-dutiable Vietnamese homo-PP have fallen below the $1400/ton threshold, based on CIF terms. Buyers would just buy from overseas sellers,” a trader said.
