Indonesian producer lower local PP, PE offers drastically
Indonesian customers reported having received fresh PP and PE offers from a key local producer with large decreases from the previous week, highlighting the falling demand as the market enters the fasting month.

The producer on the first trading day of the week has also down-adjusted contract PP and PE prices by $55/ton for homo-PP, and $60/ton for LLDPE film while keeping the contract alpha for HDPE film unchanged.
“Customers are quiet. There is very limited number of inquiries, and we expect the demand to further deteriorate in the near term as soon as the holiday mood kicks in. Besides, import homo-PP cargoes started to arrive, which would force local sellers to implement additional price cuts,” a trader said.
