Indonesian producer lift spot PP and PE offers slightly as demand softens
Indonesian customers reported having received fresh weekly PP and PE offers from a key local producer with minor increases, though demand weakens sharply as buyers withdraw to the sideline, waiting for the maker to announce contract prices.

As reported late last week, news of the maker might lift contract prices for the second quarter of the year by three digits caused some panic buying in the distribution market. However, customers are on the wait-and-see again claiming to have comfortable stocks until after Ramadan.
“The market is rather quiet today. Fortunately, we managed to close a good number of sales last week and are currently focused on delivery. Demand might weaken further because some of our customers are planning to shut down earlier than usual for Eid al Fitr,” a trader said.
