A key domestic producer in Indonesia has opened a fresh price list on the first trading day of the week at unchanged levels compared to the previous offers amid the slack demand conditions.

Indonesian customers prefer to wait for clearer market direction once the regional players return from the long weekend holidays. Meanwhile, there have been discussions that local suppliers might implement further price hikes, especially on PP cargoes, in the coming week once more converters return to the market.

“We hear that one of the local PP plants might be shutting down for maintenance in February. Spot availability would tighten further, yet buyers are not eager to make additional replenishment. Everyone is just on the wait and see,” a trader added.
