CommoPlast | Article - Local HDPE offers dropped in Indonesia; other grades remain stable

Indonesian buyers reported having received fresh PP and PE offers from a major domestic producer with a moderate decrease on all HDPE cargoes and PP random copolymer grade. All of the other grades are unchanged from the previous price list.

The stabilization reflects the latest development in the import ground. However, trading sentiment shows little sign of improvement as many manufacturers started to take off for the holiday amid the lack of end-product orders, especially among HDPE bags converters.

“The market is entering the holiday mood. There are limited supports for a rebound, hence we prefer to just wait and see,” a market source added.
