Indonesian buyers on the first trading day of the week receive fresh PP and PE offers from a major local producer with additional reductions on most PE grades compared the previous week as demand remains sluggish.

Sources said that the minor increases on LLDPE film and homo-PP cargoes do not reflect the improving demand condition while buyers continue to buy materials hand-to-mouth basis from the distribution market at well below the producer’s price list.
“No one is rushing to buy more quantity. Buyers are waiting for international suppliers to open July shipment offers before start negotiating locally. There have not been any signs of a rebound,” a trader added.
