Another local producer announced May PE prices in Malaysia

It is reported that another major local producer in Malaysia has opened May delivery PE offers to domestic buyers with sharp reductions from the previous month, following the development in the regional market.

Demand in Malaysia is weakening as the Ramadan holiday is drawing near and buyers prefer to hold off purchases with expectations of further reduction ahead, considering the continued falling import market.

“Some customers still place orders for PE, however, limiting purchases to small quantity. Looking at the current market condition, it appears that June offers would be softer, too,” a local trader commented.
