A major local producer in Indonesia continues to cut spot PP and PE offers on the first trading day of the week, though the extent of the price reduction has narrowed compared to the previous announcement.

There are limited changes in terms of demand in the Indonesian market and local traders here are offering well below the producer’s price list. “We are willing to sell homo-PP yarn and injection at IDR 18,500,000/ton without VAT ($1318/ton), cash payment. We think this price level is very much in line with the current import market, however, customers are still demanding more discounts,” a trader reported.
