Local producer continue lifting PP and PE prices in Indonesia

Indonesian players on the first trading day of the week reported having received fresh price list from a major local producer with additional increases compared to last week. Apparently, hikes on PP cargoes are more significant than PE, signaling the differences in demand for the two grades.

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

In fact, sources informed that sales for PP cargoes remain more satisfactory than PE. Many PE buyers continue to refrain from large purchases citing the up-coming new material from the expanded plant in the local ground.

“We started seeing some traders soften the stance on the cargoes to entice purchasing activities since late last week. It seems sellers are not very confident in the near term outlook,” a market source said.
